We are pleased to share that at Tuesday’s School Board meeting, the Hampstead School Board approved a pilot of universal full-day kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year.
As a result:
The district will offer a full-day kindergarten program only; a half-day option will not be offered next year
Full-day tuition will be waived for all students during the pilot year
Participation remains optional for children under age 6
This pilot reflects the district’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality early learning and strengthening school readiness. Throughout the year, we will monitor student progress and gather family feedback to help guide future decisions.
If your child is entering kindergarten this fall and does not yet have a screening appointment for Friday, May 8, please call the HCS Main Office at 603-329-6326. Additional details regarding full-day programming will be shared in the coming months.
