Meet Mrs. Starck
caricature drawing of Mrs. Starck playing trumpetMrs. Starck is a 2006 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Durham, where she earned a B.M. In Music Education. At UNH, Mrs. Starck studied trumpet with Dr. Robert Stibler and performed in the Wind Symphony, Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, Brass Choir, Brass Quintet, Faculty Brass Quintet, Brass Trio, the Wildcat Marching Band, and various Pit Orchestras. She also sang in the Concert Choir.

Mrs. Starck taught at Garrison Elementary School in Dover for eight years before being hired at HCS. Outside of school, she maintains an active teaching and performing schedule. She teaches several area piano students and teaches trumpet at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua where she is also Assistant Director of the Cardinal Marching Band and a regular in their Cardinal Pep Band and pit orchestras. Mrs. Starck performs regularly on percussion with the Strafford Wind Symphony. In addition, Mrs. Starck is often a guest educator at Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth where she teaches folk dancing.

Mrs. Starck enjoys hiking and boating in the summer and works for the NH Boat Museum in Wolfeboro where she works as a dock hand for the Millie B.
