What Can We Do At Home
Read, read read!
Students should be taking time each day to read outside of school. This can be in the form of novels, nonfiction books, magazines or eBooks. Students can read silently, to a sibling or parent, or even the family dog.
I also encourage students to spend a little time each day practicing math facts. By the end of fourth grade students should be secure in both their multiplication and division facts. Each student also has a Reflex math account that they are able to access from home. So please take some time after school, during dinner, a car ride or while brushing teeth to help your child practice the facts they are working on.
Please make sure to help your child check his or her planner each night both to build routine and in order to be aware of any projects or paperwork.
