Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is defined as the expectations for what students are expected to know and be able to do by the end of a grade level or course, is organized by units with timelines, and is aligned with state and/or national standards. Curriculum serves as the plan for instruction within our classrooms. To the side are the links to the Hampstead School District Preschool – 8th grade Language Arts and Mathematics units which are aligned with the New Hampshire College and Career Ready standards. These units include grade level expectations for what students are expected to know and be able to do, learning activities and resources used by teachers to support the development of the standards, as well as the methods teachers will use to evaluate students’ achievement of these standards. Our philosophies regarding the teaching of language arts and mathematics are included as well.
